LoveVoodoo Fest was a HUGE hit!
Doug
we just returned from hedo 2 it was a blast food was good entertianment was great and the staff was awsome everyone was smiling could not have asked for a better time, the grounds are kept very nice and clean the dining room was always setup perfect ! the pools are kept clean and clear , the rooms are not great but when you are at hedo you only sleep in them theshowers where ok a/c well it was COLD , the bed was kinda firm but some people like it that way, all in all we liked it so much we booked again 1 day after returning home, H2 is a fun fun spot and it is only what you make of it so if you go and you are a crbby person chances are this will not change you but if you like life and love to laugh with a bunch of great people go you will love it ( get a dirty banana you'll love them )

We went to Hedonism II for the first time November 14-18, 2009 for LoveVoodoo Fest '09. So glad we went!
Here are our thoughts on our trip:
Day 1: Early flight out of BWI on Air Jamaica (with lots of others with Love Voodoo!) Everything went smoothly and we arrived in Montego Bay by 10:00am. We departed from most of the crowd and instead of getting on the shuttle to Hedo we met with a private driver we had arranged with another couple ahead of time (he gave us cold Red Stripes upon entering the van). We headed to a local restaurant specializing in jerk pork and chicken. Best meat ever - and they even took us out back to show us how they cook it. We headed from there to the Rocklands Bird Sanctuary. There we each had hummingbirds land on our fingers to sip sugar water from bottles we held in our hands. Truly amazing. I have a picture of myself with the national bird of Jamaica on my finger!! From there we made the trek to Negril and Hedo II (about 1 1/2 hours from Montego). Upon arrival, everyone was very friendly. We were a little nervous having never been there before but the moment we got out of the car, the bellman said - "you are only allowed to relax and have fun from here on out:" And so we did..... The check-in staff were a little distracted (perhaps overwhelmed by the large group) but got us checked in eventually. In the meantime, we met one of our hosts form Love Voodoo (Todd) who also made us feel welcome. We then headed to our rooms where the bellman met us with our bags. The rooms were not luxurious (we were warned about this) but very clean (note: throughout our stay the housekeepers did a great job and were very friendly) and honestly, we spent so little time in them, we didn't care too much. We took a long nap to prepare for the evening ahead. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food at dinner as well as the attentiveness of the staff. Then it was time to explore the nightlife options. After dressing for the "leather and lace" theme we headed to the Piano Bar. Lots of energy there from both the staff and guests. Sing-a-longs and karaoke aren't our thing but the vibe was fun. We then checked out the disco. Didn't really get going until about midnight but once it did we had a great time. Good music and energy. Sometimes the lights were flashing too much for us but we have that problem at every club we go too!
Day 2: After an early (yummy) breakfast, we hit the fitness center. We were fairly impressed with the equipment available. I was fun to workout and watch all the interesting people walk by. The center was attended by Tyson - very sweet guy! Next was the beach. We're not "lay around on the beach" people, but if we were, there were plenty of beach chairs available and fresh beach towels can be exchanged as much as you want. There were many water sports available - sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, diving, and jet skis (this was the only one that cost extra). During our stay, we sailed and snorkeled - both of which we enjoyed very much. After lunch and another nap, we participated in the "class reunion" theme. After dinner, the entertainment staff held a contest for best costume - cheeky but fun.
Day 3: Tennis lessons!!! Our only regret is that we didn't start these on the 1st day! Note: you need to sign up for these 1 day ahead. Garfield, the tennis pro, is amazing. Some of the best lessons we've ever had - I wanted to take him home with me! Peter, the other tennis pro was great as well. We didn't bring racquets but they had basic ones there for us to use. We then got a massage and facial at the spa. The massage was amazing - ask for Peta - the facial was so-so. For lunch, we headed off the resort into Negril for some curry goat and shopping. We got taken at the tourist shop, but hey - had to get t-shirts for the kids! That afternoon, we experienced the nude pool for the first time. Definitely a new experience for us and we did get a few angry stares until we took our clothes off... But "when in Rome" so we went for it. The nude pool was where most of the action was in the afternoons/evenings. I've heard that when LoveVoodooFest was at Hedo 3 there was a quad for both the clothed and nude around which the majority of people congregated. This would have been nice so people opposed to being totally nude didn't feel left out. The theme this night was "Jamaica colors/reggae". I had a lot of fun with this one in my new bikini and wrap. Loved the entertainment!! The staff danced for us and there was steel drum music. This was one of the highlights of the trip for us.
Day 4: Last day - tried to cram a lot in... more tennis, snorkeling... hanging out at the nude pool. People seemed to get more loosened up as the week went on and there was definitely more wild behavior going on but nobody stopped anyone and it certainly didn't bother us. The daytime bartenders at the nude pool were a bit surly but they have a pretty hard job... That evening we took some sunset pictures - some of the best pictures we've ever taken - just make sure your camera is always pointed out to the ocean and never at the beach. This night was"pajama party" - lots of fun to go out in your lingerie! The disco had strobe lights going so I couldn't dance but it was still fun to hang out. We did check out the on-premise action in the spa this night which was definitely a new experience as well. The champagne there was a nice touch! A couple times people walking through stopped and stared which was a little disconcerting but we were in a public space so....
Day 5: More tennis before leaving... The staff slipped a notice under our door about what time to catch the bus so we would make it to the airport in time for our flight. The bus ride was comfortable and the trip home smooth.
We're looking forward to going back next year!!

This was our first visit to Hedo 2 and we loved it. Last year, we went to Hedo 3 with Lovevoodoo, so we were a little biased in the beginning because we expected a room similar to Hedo 3. As we settled in, we realized that little time would be spent there anyway, so it didn’t matter that it was smaller. (We did have a problem with the miniature-sized ants. Even though management sprayed, they remained and got into our luggage.)
In reference to the activities at Hedo 2, they were great. The food was great. The drinks were great. The staff were great. And, the people we met were great. We can’t wait to return to Hedo 2 for Voodoo Fest next year, and we're bringing several of our friends with us.
Believe you can, and dwell on it!

November 13th – November 21st
This was our third trip to Hedo II but our first trip to LoveVoodooFest. The trip was amazing. The grounds were well kept, Augustus did a great job on the beach as well as just fun to have around. Great to see a lot of old faces on staff. Winston, Sunshine, Mega, Dean as well as the newbies Dwight, Dale, and Crystal Lee were all upbeat and kept us all very well entertained. With Tavis running the show everything was a blast. He made sure that there was someone at the Rock Wall when we needed and was never far away when you were looking for him. He did a fantastic job MC’ing the Ms. LoveVoodooFest Contest. Kevin Levee was at most of the events and was always willing to talk to people. He recognized our group from previous years and made a point of asking what we thought about the club and how things were going with LoveVoodoo being there. We told him that we were somewhat hesitant at first being down there with such a large group and were afraid of what kind of changes were going to take place (there were a lot of rumors about it being ALL clothing optional, that the guards were stopping all PDAs and PDPs, etc.). Other than a higher of guests and some very special events, it was the same great Hedo II we love so much.
Here are some of the details:
The food was pretty much the same as the previous years. We did end up having lobster tails both Friday nights we were there which has only happened once before. The meal and bonfire on the beach was great. It was the first time they had a bonfire since we started going and we really enjoyed it.
The room was great as always. No problem with hot water, AC, etc. Cleaning staff did an excellent job.
The new towel policy I really liked. When we checked in we were given 2 tickets for beach towels and we took them to the Water Sports desk and picked them up. Any time they got wet or dirty we just swapped them out. The really cool part was there were always lounge chairs available. In previous years people would get up at the crack of dawn (or never go to bed) and as soon as the towels were delivered would spread dozens of them on all the chairs they could find. I found this very frustrating because by 3:00PM there were probably 20 to 30 chairs that had never been used and no free chairs to use. That didn’t happen this year. Any time we went to the beach (either) we always found open chairs.
EC staff as I mentioned did a great job. Winston has to be one of the most talented people I have ever met. Dale was always making us laugh and really kept the party going.
Delroy, Scumba and the rest of the bartending staff were fantastic as always. It always amazes me how they remember what you’re drinking and almost have it ready by the time you get to the bar. My only complaint as far as the bars are concerned is they had a real problem keeping them stocked. The piano bar being the worst seconded only by the disco. On 5 of the 8 nights we were there they ran out of Coconut Rum and on two of those nights were unable to locate any. There were several other liquors they ran out of as well but come on we’re in Jamaica how hard is it to keep rum on hand.
The weather was out of this world. Only one day of morning clouds and the rest perfect.
The LoveVoodooFest people set up music and events at the main pool and it was really nice to hear music and hang out. Usually we don’t spend much time at the main pool but with everything they had set up it was really fun for a change. The LoveVoodooFest people were always great to hang out with and Todd was always hanging around making sure everyone had a great time and fix any little problems. All of the hosts were very frindly and helpful. Rick, Vicki, and Gary from Tabu were a blast. As I mentioned I wasn't exactly sure how LoveVoodoo would fit in with the Hedo we've come to love and all we have to say is they definitely made it even better than before. The special events and the extra care were really amazing.
Overall it was one of the best trips we’ve ever had. We will definitely be going back again next year.
The only thing we will change though is our travel agent. As I mentioned we booked through LoveVoodoo this year instead of the always wonderful CharTravel people. Castaways travel handed all of the arrangements and we were definitely not pleased. It took 6 emails and 2 calls just to get a quote for the days we wanted to travel. It appears that adding a day to the beginning was asking way too much. Once we got that straight we ended up having to call them about a week out to find out where our vouchers and info were. The woman I spoke with told me that they were sending them out alphabetically and just hadn’t gotten to us yet. I found this very odd since our friends had received theirs a week before and they only had to go from E to K. “Amazingly” we got the info by COB that day. When we arrived at the club on Friday (the day before the scheduled 7 day LoveVoodooFest) they were just setting up the information desk and we were told to come back tomorrow and get all our stuff. When we went back to ask for our beads (which we had seen several of our friends who arrived that day wearing) and our bags we were treated like crap. We got the third degree by being told that for one we had to book through LoveVoodoo to get beads (which we did) and we had to have booked through Castaways to get the bag (which we did). After going round and round with the owner of Castaway’s we finally got our stuff and vowed to never use them again.
I really hope everyone gets a chance to visit Hedo II and create some of the amazing memories we’ve had. The club is great, the staff and guests really make the trip special. If you’re not having fun there it’s because you just aren’t trying. We really hope to be one of the people you read about that have been to Hedo II 30 or 40 times. It is just that good.

We had a chance to go this year to Hedo2. It was our first time well first of many things :) :) We had a blast. Meet soo many nice people from Lovevoodoo. But loved the atmosphere itself. We enjoyed we could go at our own pace (wild to mild). We thought the staff was excellent. The rooms were nice. The food was very good also. Also have to give credit to the grounds keepers as they always kept the place looking great. How can you not have a nice time relaxing naked in a hotub under the clear Jamica sky at night? :) We are soo looking forward to going back for Lovevoodoo Fest 2010 and picking up were we left off!
